My Friends 21st Party / OOTN

Hello,

It was my friends 21st birthday party recently so I had an excuse to get all dolled up which I love doing! It's not all fun and games though because I always find getting prepared for an event/party to be very stressful. First off I wanted a new outfit which I planned perfectly in my head however actually finding this imaginary outfit in the real world was near impossible. I soon give up on this idea and just settled on a colour scheme, I wanted it to involve white and then maybe some pastel yellow or mint green accessories.

I finally got there in the end and stumbled across this pretty white lace dress in New Look and ordered it off there website straight away!

(This picture doesn't do the dress justice, I swear it's much prettier in person!)

I love the lace detailing on the dress.

The dress was from New Look and cost me £24.99

Now that  had found the dress I just needed some accessories (I decided to go with the Mint Green because I love that colour during Spring time) As I was walking to work one day I decided to have nosey in the some of the shops because I had some time to spare and I found these little gems!

First off! I found this cute little mint green bag with a long shoulder strap in Select. I chose however to hide the strap inside the bag making it into a clutch bag ohhh yeah ;)

I can't remember how much I paid for this bag but I've just checked Selects website and it's coming up as £9.99 :)

Next I found these earrings in Peacocks (Even though they say they're £2.50 they were actually just £1.00 in the sale, bargain!) I didnt end up wearing these because I forgot to put them in oops

Last but not least, I found these shoes in New Look for £19.99. Unfortunately they weren't exactly mint green more of a baby blue but I got away with it. I didn't know whether or not I was feeling the corked heels or not but I've grown to love them!

                                                                       Taaa Daaaa!!
The Pictures a little blurred :(

Simple Skincare: Evening Routine Review

Hello
I'm back again today with the second half of my Simple Skincare review. I use a couple more products of an evening then I do of a morning, I originally started my evening skincare routine with the Simple Kind to Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion but my skin didnt really get on with this product, so I have cut it out of my skincare routine completely. This cleanser has quite a greasy consistency, so I felt my skin was producing even more oil than usual and I started to get a lot of those pesky little puss filled pimples! Once I stopped using this product my skin went back to normal where I was just suffering from hormonal breakouts once again (which are also annoying but I can't seem to find anything to tackle hormonal breakouts... any suggestions?) . Although this product didnt work out for me and I probably wouldn't buy it again I think it would work well if you have normal/dry skin!

The next product I use is the Simple Kind to Skin Soothing Facial Toner and to be honest I don't think this product has any affect on my skin whatsoever I just think it leaves my skin with a fresh feeling but I was hoping for a little bit more out of this product. I think in the future I will give a different toner a try... maybe LUSH's Tea Tree Water.

The moisturiser I use of an evening is the Simple Repair Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream... I know I'm not exactly turning into an OAP anytime soon aha but with my eczema problem on my forehead causing dry skin and using steroid creams to calm it I've noticed a few unwanted lines in the forehead region so I thought I would give this a whirl and it's fab! It's a little more heavy duty in comparison to the moisturiser I use of a day but I prefer this of a night time because I feel my skin can soak all the goodness up while I'm sleeping :) Also this product smells delish I sometimes want to lick it... but I've never given it a go I don't think it will taste how it smells.

Finally the last product I've been using is the Kind to Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask, I've saved this till last as I only use this product once a week. I like to use this product when I just want to chill out and also when my skin isn't looking too great. It says to leave the mask for 3 minutes but I'm a rebel and leave it on for 10 sometimes even 15 ;) once I've washed this mask off my skin feels super soft also I use this when I have a mountain of a spot on my face and it seems to reduce the size a little which is always a good thing! But again another product I like! although I don't see dramatic improvements when I use this on my skin the benefits still outweigh the negatives so I probably would purchase this again in the future but I still do want to try other products... Mainly some from the LUSH range as mentioned above :)
